Injury: Accidents and Illness Abroad

Since the enactment of the Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992 and the Fourth European Union Motor Insurance Directive 2003, it has become much easier for holidaymakers to make claims following accidents abroad on their return to the UK.

Tour operators are responsible for making sure all accommodation is safe and hygienic and that guests are not exposed to any risks during their holiday. If this duty of care has been broken, any customer suffering injury, distress, loss or damage abroad may well have a valid claim against their tour operator in the UK
